Christmas Day

Christmas morning the boys were up....not too early this year. (Maybe due to the late night the night before?) We had a great morning full of presents, toys, and lots of love. Bebe, our Elf decided to stick around and watch the boys open their gifts. Ashton was just heartbroken the night before that Bebe would be leaving us until next year. I guess it got to him because we woke to find him hanging out in my stocking.

Each year, we have taken the boys shopping so they can pick out and buy each other a gift. The picture of the boys hugging is after Aiden opened his gift from his brother. I still have tears in my eyes thinking about how sweet they were......Aiden has such an old sweet soul!!! He reminds me so much of my dad. :)

Ashton asked Santa for the Michael Jackson Wii game. He wanted to stop opening presents so he could go up and play it! We have had a blast watching him play/dance.....ok, we have all had our time in the spot light doing the moonwalk too. Ashton loved his personalized sports bag. He is becoming quite the little athlete! He also got a real soccer goal to help him perfect his shots. He starts indoor soccer is a few weeks.

Aiden loves tools and to help Steve and my dad with any and every project around. My dad got him his very own tool box filled with his very own tools. He feels pretty special wearing his tool belt around. He also got a new hockey stick and an official Steelheads hockey jersey! He gets to play on the ice tomorrow night at the Steelheads game.......we all think this is a BIG DEAL!!!

Number one on the boys list was an electric razor......and guess who got it for them?!?!? They have been zipping around the neighborhood making sparks like crazy. We were amazed at how fast they figured them out....didn't fall once.....just stepped on and off they went.....FAST. My mom was a little worried they'd go too fast so she also bought them knee, wrist, and elbow pads. Needless to say, they have not really needed them. :) But we insist that they always wear a helmet.....I wonder who will need stitches first?!

That's our day in a nutshell.....still no snow....that's the only thing that would have made this Christmas any better!

Christmas Eve at The Russell's

We hosted Christmas Eve at our house again this year.....our party and "family" grows every year. It all started 6 years ago when we celebrated our first Idaho Christmas with our adopted family The Warrington's. From then on, each year we add some more and the fun and love grows too. This year we had The Anderson's, The Coddington's, The Richi's, The Freeburn's, The Warrington's, and my parents here....that makes 31 happy smiling faces. We had a blast. The highlight of the night was a surprise visit from Santa!!!! We had no idea he would be making an appearance. I turned around after hearing a few screams and there he was. The kids were wide eyed and so were a few adults as you can see from the pictures!
